Recent satellite images have captured significant progress at one of the Middle East’s most ambitious coastal developments — the AIDA luxury resort in Oman, which will feature Trump-branded villas, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Newsweek.
The resort is located on cliffs over 130 meters high, near Yiti beach, just 15 minutes from Muscat, the capital of Oman. AIDA is part of the country’s Vision 2040 initiative, aimed at diversifying the national economy through tourism and foreign investment.
The centerpiece of the project is Trump International Oman — a $500 million luxury destination that will include a 140-room hotel and a world-class golf course. The project is being developed through a joint venture between London-based real estate company Dar Global and Oman’s state-owned tourism development agency, Omran Group.
In the July edition of its digital magazine, Dar Global announced that construction is actively progressing. The resort will also feature Trump Cliff Villas — upscale residences overlooking the Gulf of Oman, starting at $1 million. Financing was secured in February through the National Bank of Oman.
Dar Global CEO Ziad El Chaar stated that AIDA will attract investment, generate employment, and strengthen Oman’s tourism sector. Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, added that the project “will usher in a new era of luxury and exclusivity” in the region.
The first phase of AIDA is scheduled for completion by 2027, with the opening of Trump International Oman set for December 2028. In addition to AIDA, Dar Global is also behind other Trump-branded developments, including Trump Tower projects in Jeddah and Dubai — the latter to feature the world’s tallest open-air swimming pool.
