The Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, commented on the use of prostitutes and escort girls in intelligence operations in an interview with Ramina Eskhakzai. According to him, if an intelligence officer needs to spend the night with a prostitute to complete a mission, there is no issue with this. “In such situations, we don’t see anything unusual,” noted the head of GUR, reports Baltimore Chronicle, citing the interview.
Budanov explained that such methods help gather crucial information. He stated that sometimes it is precisely through these approaches that intelligence officers obtain valuable data that would be difficult to obtain through other means. “There have been cases where prostitutes provided us with unique information that we could not get in any other way,” he emphasized.
The GUR chief added that intelligence officers often encounter situations where men try to show off their strength and importance. This creates additional opportunities to gather data that would otherwise remain inaccessible through regular channels. “They talk about things we wouldn’t have been able to find out without this approach,” added Kyrylo Budanov.
