Ukrainian Defense Forces have completed the operation to liberate and fully clear the village of Bezsalivka in the Sumy region from Russian occupation, reports Baltimore Chronicle, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and information from “Suspilne.”

The operation involved units of the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment and the 24th Separate Assault Battalion. During the fighting, Ukrainian forces eliminated 18 Russian invaders. Bezsalivka is a small village in the Bilopillia urban hromada, located on the Volfa River, near the border with Russia, with a population of just 91 people. According to Bilopillia hromada head Yurii Zark, at the beginning of July, several residents remained in Bezsalivka, refusing to evacuate.
