Institutions of the Ministry of Health will undergo a cybersecurity audit.

“During war, the Ministry of Health has an increased threat of cyber attacks and attempts to interfere with its information systems and databases, and therefore requires enhanced cybersecurity measures. The program to improve the level of cybersecurity of government agencies in Ukraine is being implemented by the Representative Office of the US Civilian Research and Development Fund (CRDF Clobal) in cooperation with the US State Department. It includes cybersecurity audits of selected institutions by the Ministry of Health, modernization and supply of equipment and software, cybersecurity training and mentoring programs, etc.,” the message says.
As noted in the Ministry of Health, these measures will be strengthened the ability of beneficiary institutions in the field of cybersecurity, creating resilient and adaptive processes for protecting systems and data.
In particular, the ministry said, CRDF Global, in collaboration with a team of Cyber Unit Technologies experts, conducted the first training for IT professionals and government officials to increase awareness of the multiple cyber threats of the present and provide practical skills in responding to existing threats.
The training participants received special knowledge and skills to assess existing systems and create reliable protection against cyber threats and practically worked out conditional realistic scenarios of intervention in information systems, thus increasing the overall level of cybersecurity of their institutions.
