A presentation of the first regional agricultural cluster was held at Poltava State Agrarian University.

The event was attended by Deputy Head of Poltava OV Vladimir Kogut, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of POVA Sergey Frolov.
“We are consolidating the efforts of government, business and farmers to develop agriculture in the Poltava region during the war. Today we are presenting the first Agrocluster in the region. It will act as a platform for attracting investors, grant funds, to support projects, and also as assistance to farmers in their ongoing work,” said Kogut.
Rector of Poltava State Agrarian University Alexander Galich noted that the university is ready to promote the development of the cluster.
“We promise methodological and organizational support from our side. Also scientific support for our teachers and all processes occurring during the creation of the cluster. I have experience in creating an IT cluster. Therefore, we are ready to share it and cooperate in order to create added value and contribute to the development of the population and territories of the region,” Galich said.
It is noted that at the event, about 100 representatives of communities, government agencies, industry public organizations, business entities, retail chains and companies discussed problematic issues and priority areas for the development of the region’s agricultural sector.
The agricultural cluster was presented by the director of the public union “Agrocluster Grant” Sergei Kovalenko.
He noted that among the important issues of the cluster’s work will be European integration, ecology, energy saving, restoration of territories, and support for the military.
The partners of the cluster will be OVA, communities, Poltava State Agrarian University, employment center, Regional Center for the provision of free secondary legal assistance.
As Ukrinform reported, deputies of the Kirovograd Regional Council at a meeting of the 20th session adopted a program for the development of the region's agro-industrial complex.
