The cost of living will increase in Ukraine.
In Ukraine, from January 1, 2024, the cost of living and the minimum wage will be increased, so this is the basis for recalculating pensions for certain categories of Ukrainians.
This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund.
It is noted that starting next year the minimum wage will increase from 6,700 to 7,100 UAH.
“In this regard, pensions for non-working persons who have reached 65 years of age and have full insurance experience (30 years for women and 35 years for men) will be revised: the minimum pension amount for such pensioners as of January 1, 2024 cannot be less than 40% of the minimum salary – 2 840 UAH ,” says the PFU message.
Also, starting January 1, the cost of living increases. In particular, for persons who have lost their ability to work, it increases to 2361 UAH. The cost of living per person per month is up to 2,920 UAH.
In addition, starting from the new year, the size of the pension supplement for honorary donors of Ukraine will increase from 258.90 to 292.00 UAH , which is calculated as 10% of the cost of living per person per month.
“At the same time, the recalculation of pensions, bonuses, increases and other additional payments to pensions, which is carried out taking into account the cost of living for disabled persons established on January 1, 2024, is carried out from March 1, together with the annual indexation of pensions,” the pension service notes. fund.
As reported, the increase in pensions in 2024 will affect more than half of pensioners, especially those who receive minimum payments.
