The Cabinet of Ministers approved the composition of the supervisory board of the Ukrainian Defense Industry.
Minister for Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin announced this in a Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Today the Cabinet of Ministers approved the composition of the supervisory board of the Ukrainian Defense Industry joint-stock company. This is one of the key stages in the reform of corporate governance in the public sector of the domestic defense industry,” the statement says.
The body again included Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2019-2020 Alexey Goncharuk, President of the Kyiv School of Economics and Ex-Minister of Economics Timofey Milovanov, former member of the supervisory board of Ukreximbank and the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Sergey Konovets.
The foreign component on the supervisory board will be represented by David Lomjaria, a member of the supervisory board of Ukrzaliznytsia, and Lindy Smith, president and CEO of the Arizona Defense Industrial Coalition (AZDIC).
This is a powerful team of professionals with vast experience and expertise. I am confident that, together with German Smetanin, the new supervisory board will successfully continue the transformation of Ukroboronprom into a transparent European defense holding,” added Kamyshin.
As reported, on June 28, 2023, the activities of the Ukroboronprom concern were discontinued, and Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC became its legal successor.
