The Cabinet of Ministers plans to extend the deadline for filing applications for payments of benefits from the state.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to extend internally displaced persons (IDPs) have the opportunity to apply for payments from the state.
The press service of the Ministry of Reintegration reported this.
There are so many requests for the extension of payments to IDPs from March 1 that it is not possible to make an appointment with some social welfare authorities and central administrative centers no earlier than April.
“Many IDPs contact the hotlines of the Ministry of Reintegration regarding the deadline for filing applications for extension of payments Currently, the corresponding changes to the government decree are being developed so that everyone can do this normally,” said Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk.
Payments have been extended for six months to the following categories of IDPs:
- pensioners receiving a pension of less than 9444 hryvnia
- citizens with disabilities of group 1 or 2
- children with disabilities, orphans and children without parental care
- parents raising children under 14 years of age who are studying remotely and therefore their parents cannot work
Some Ukrainians can extend payments only after submitting an application. This is:
- a young child who arrived in a new community without a legal representative
- a pregnant woman after the 30th week of pregnancy (27th week of pregnancy – for women classified as I-IV categories of persons affected by the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant)
- a person who has lost the ability to work, but is not entitled to a pension payment and/or receiving state social assistance (provided that the average monthly total the income per person in such a family does not exceed UAH 9,444)
- a person who has lost the ability to work, but does not have the right to a pension and/or receives state social assistance
