Ukrainian consumers are in for tariff “surprises.”
In Ukraine, the price of utilities has risen significantly.
The relevant data was provided by the State Statistics Service.
Between April 2023 and April 2024, utility tariffs increased by 12.9%. The electricity tariff increased to the maximum – by 69.7%.
As you know, from June 1, 2023, a kilowatt-hour for household consumers costs 2.64 UAH, whereas previously the tariff was differentiated – 1.44 UAH and 1.68 UAH – depending on the resource used (up to 250 kWh or more).
How other housing and communal services have become more expensive:
- < li>repair and maintenance of housing – by 3.2%
- management of apartment buildings – by 5.1%
- garbage collection – by 1.6%
The cost of other housing and communal services remains the same. The government has prohibited the revision of tariffs for water supply and sewerage, as well as for gas, heating and hot water.
