Funds will certainly be found for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Verkhovna Rada is considering the possibility of increasingpayments to the militaryup to 170 thousand hryvnia.
Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Alexander Fedienko explained where the money for payments to the military will come from.
“We can talk about such changes as salary. Now fighters on the combat line will receive not 100, but 170 thousand hryvnia. I am not the Minister of Economy. I understand that we have a budget and an “under-budget”. finances, I think that, most likely, this will be at the expense of other payments,” he said.
Recall that on April 11, when the Verkhovna Rada adopted the updated law on mobilization, deputies voted for other important decisions. . In particular, they obliged the government to develop a law on the demobilization of the military (the corresponding norms were removed from the draft on mobilization at the request of the General Staff), and also to adopt a resolution on the payment of monthly remuneration to the military at the front in the amount of 70 thousand UAH.
Next day, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal reported: “We have established an additional payment in the amount of 70 thousand hryvnia for military personnel and police officers performing combat missions on the first line.”
Since the remuneration in the amount of 70 thousand UAH was introduced in the middle of the year, it was not in the law on the state budget. In order for military personnel to receive these funds, the government needs to make appropriate changes to the estimate.
