Assistance is provided for Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions.
Ukrainians in three regions can receive grants for restarting and supporting businesses from 7 thousand to 20 thousand euros. The project is being implemented with funding from the German Development Bank (KfW) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ).
This was reported by the Ministry of Economics.
For which regions is assistance provided?
The Ministry of Economy noted that assistance is provided for three regions:
- Sumy;
- Chernihiv;
- Kiev.
Who can count on it?
At the same time, not everyone can count on it.
The following categories will be able to receive this assistance:
- internally displaced persons (IDPs);
- Ukrainians who have returned home;
- host communities.
“The border regions, which were partially occupied, are constantly experiencing missile attacks from the enemy, and require special attention from the state. We have a number of government programs to support and stimulate business development in these regions, to help residents and internally displaced persons find employment, retrain, and improve their professional skills so that they can become more competitive in the labor market and have the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families,” the statement says.
How much money can Ukrainians get from Germany
At the same time, it is noted that the project was called “Viability+: Economic Integration of Internally Displaced Persons and Conflict Affected Persons.” Within its limits, the following will be provided:
- 150 grants of up to 7,000 euros for micro-enterprises;
- 90 grants of up to 20,000 euros for small enterprises;
- 45 grants of up to 15,000 euros for micro-enterprises for start-ups.
In addition, four economic clusters will receive grants of up to 80,000 euros to improve the competitiveness of their products. And also:
- export promotion;
- promoting the economic development of the region.
The project also provides support to IDPs and Ukrainians who have returned home, youth, women and other community members in the three regions in training to improve their professional skills and increase their chances of employment. Thus, 500 people will receive vouchers worth up to 1,000 euros for educational/professional advanced training courses.
