The cost of electricity may increase by 25-50 kopecks per kilowatt-hour.
In the spring of 2025, the tariff for electricity for Ukrainians may increase to 4.7 UAH per kilowatt-hour.
This assumption was made by the head of the Council of the Ukrainian Association of Renewable Energy Stanislav Ignatiev on the air of “Novosti.LIVE”.
He noted that the current tariffs for the population are significantly lower than wholesale ones, which creates a deficit in the energy market.
“The tariff for the population is several times lower than the wholesale tariff on the electricity market, to this we also need to add VAT and two more tariffs for the supply of electricity by the Ukrenergo networks and distribution by the regional power companies. On the wholesale electricity market, of course, the cost of electricity increases due to the emerging deficit,” he explained.
“I have an insider's information that there may be an increase in the corridor of 25-50 kopecks,” he said.
We remind you that in Ukraine, from October 1, the price of electricity for one category of consumers will increase. Read more about this in the news.
