The cost of carrots in Ukraine has reached 18-25 UAH/kg due to active purchases by wholesalers and the population. Prices are already 3.3 times higher than last year and may continue to rise.

Today, farmers in the main production regions are shipping quality carrots at 18-25 UAH/kg ($0.16-0.22/kg), which is on average 12% more expensive than at the end of the last working week. However, industry experts note that the upward price trend is observed exclusively in the segment of high-quality carrots purchased for storage.
According to analysts, prices for quality carrots in Ukraine are now on average 3.3 times higher than for the same period last year.
At the same time, some producers plan to continue raising prices for carrots while maintaining current sales rates.
Earlier it became known that prices for greenhouse cucumbers have been rising in Ukraine for four weeks in a row. One of the reasons for this situation was a significant reduction in the supply of cucumbers from local farms.
