This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian journalist Vitaly Portnikov in an interview with Radio Liberty.
“The number of the number of people who will be on the brink of survival will increase. People are losing their breadwinners because they are dying at the front, people will lose their jobs because the Ukrainian economy will be shrinking. People will lose their usual salaries because their enterprises' income will be decreasing. People will lose their businesses because the purchasing power of the population will be decreasing. People will lose their income because taxes will certainly be increasing,” Portnikov believes.
