Pension payments can be resumed.
In Ukraine, all elderly people receive pension benefits. In some cases, this payment may stop.
This was reported on the website of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Pension payments may be terminated by a decision of the territorial bodies of the Pension Fund or by a court decision.
Grounds for termination of payments:
- assignment of a pension based on documents containing false information;
- failure to undergo physical identification;
- residence of the pensioner abroad;
- a corresponding application from the pensioner to terminate the payment of the pension due to temporary residence abroad;
- the pensioner has been granted the status of a person missing in action under special circumstances;
- the pensioner has died, has been recognized as missing or has been declared dead in accordance with the procedure established by law;
- the pensioner has not received the assigned pension for 6 consecutive months;
- other cases provided for by law.
The Pension Fund emphasizes that in order to resume payments, a person must personally contact any Pension Fund service center with a corresponding application and an identity document. The pensioner has 10 days to do this after clarifying the circumstances that led to the termination.
