Now, not 19.5%, but 23% (18% personal income tax + 5% military tax) will be withheld from employees' salaries.
The law on increasing taxes for individual entrepreneurs will be postponed until January 1, 2025. In particular, Ukrainians will pay an increased military tax for December only on part of their income.
This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.
For individual entrepreneurs of the first, second and fourth groups, the tax rate will be 10% of the minimum wage established at the beginning of 2025, that is, 8,000 hryvnia.
“Payers of the single tax of the third group (both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs) will begin to pay a military tax in the amount of 1% of their turnover based on the results of the first quarter of 2025. Also, individuals will not be required to pay the military tax “retroactively,” the department said in a statement.
In addition, other income of individuals (income from wages, rent, winnings, deposits, etc.) is subject to a military tax of 5% from December 1, 2024.
Here includes:
- income from salary
- rent
- winnings
- deposit, etc.
In addition, from January 1, 2025, the military tax rate for income will increase to 5%. This will be indicated in the annual declaration.
Recall that on October 10, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on increasing taxes as a whole. In particular, for some Ukrainians, the military tax will increase from 1.5% to 5%.
