The regulated tariff is 4.32 hryvnia.

In the summer of 2024, the tariff for electricity for household consumers in Ukraine increased. From January 1, 2025, the tariff for electricity will be 4.32 UAH per kilowatt-hour. It remains unchanged at least until the end of the heating season.

Ukrainians who have two-zone electricity meters installed can reduce their electricity bills somewhat. They are subject to the night tariff – from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During this period, the tariff will be UAH 2.16 per kilowatt-hour. At other times of the day – UAH 4.32 per kilowatt-hour.

The following electricity tariffs will apply to households equipped with three-zone meters:

  • from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (night hours), the tariff is UAH 1.73 per kilowatt-hour
  • from 7:00 to 8:00 in the morning, from 11:00 to 20:00 in the evening and from 22:00 to 23:00 in the evening the price is 4.32 UAH per kilowatt-hour
  • from 8:00 to 11:00 and from 20:00 to 22:00 (rush hour) the tariff increases to 6.48 UAH per kilowatt-hour

Earlier, the head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities Oleh Popenko reported that the cost of electricity for Ukrainians in the summer of 2025 will likely reach 6.32-6.64 UAH per kilowatt.

The main reasons for the possible increase are:

  • the energy crisis in Ukraine (increase in the cost of electricity)
  • increase in infrastructure costs (restoration and modernization of power grids)
  • IMF demand to raise tariffs to market level (this is part of Ukraine's agreement with international partners)

It was also reported that Ukrainians can reduce the size of utility bills by applying for a subsidy. This assistance is provided subject to certain conditions. You can apply for a subsidy now by contacting the relevant authorities.
