How quickly should a gas meter be verified and who does it concern?
Verification of the gas meter must be carried out regularly, as this is a mandatory procedure for all consumers.

The company, which supplies blue fuel to 98% of consumers in Ukraine, reminds that the frequency of meter verification depends on the type of device.
Unscheduled checks of gas meters: who does it concern?
First of all, let us remember that the periodicity is affected by the accuracy class of the counter:
- accuracy class 1 meter – every two years;
- accuracy class 1.5 – every 8 years.
The company may refuse to accept meter readings if verification has not been carried out in a timely manner.
Can verification take place out of turn?
In some cases, meter verification occurs out of turn:
- if there is any doubt that the given readings are correct;
- the meter has not been used for a long time;
- The verification mark is damaged.
Who may not have the meter verified:
- residents of the TOT (these citizens must have their meters verified within three months after the end of martial law);
- residents of populated areas that have been designated as active combat zones (they will be given 6 months after the end of martial law to check their meters).
Let us recall that earlier we were talking about citizens receiving bills with high tariffs for heating, even with economical consumption.
Some hope to reduce expenses, in particular by refusing to pay for heating in the entrance halls or when not in the apartment.
