Members of the European Union praised the European Commission's proposal to ban trade counter-attacks against the United States from Washington's side.
The process is underway at the meeting of the European Commission (EC), Ukrinform reports.
“Today, EU member states voted for the European Commission’s proposal to introduce trade counter-entries against the United States. The European Commission’s position was based on the recent decision of the United States to impose a ban on the import of steel and aluminum from the EU,” the European Commission said.
The EU respects the US policy as unjustifiable and unjust, and such that it causes economic harm to both parties, as well as light economy.
“The EU declared its clear superiority in search of the results of the negotiations with the United States, which would be balanced and mutually beneficial,” the EC added.
