Financial assistance from the European Union for Ukrainein 2024 is expected to amount to 16 billion euros. We are talking about the Ukraine Facility program, designed for four years.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal stated this.
According to him, the budget of the program itself is 50 billion euros.
“This is support for investment, support for our economy and our movement towards membership in the European Union “This year we expect to receive 16 billion euros of budget assistance from the European Union,” the Prime Minister said.
He also noted that on March 1, the government approved the “Reform and Recovery Support Program” with the European Commission. The agreement provides that the total budget of the program will increase to 374 million euros.
“With these funds it is planned to restore destroyed infrastructure, support small farms and other agricultural producers, and modernize checkpoints adjacent to the EU border” , he added.
Recall that New Zealand announced further support for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia and the expansion of military assistance to Kiev on the second anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion.
