Last week, the National Bank of Ukraine sold 892.67 million US dollars on the interbank foreign exchange market.

According to the results of foreign exchange interventions, from December 25 to December 29, 2023, the NBU sold $892.67 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and also bought $0.87 million.
In general, since the beginning of 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine has sold $28.829 billion on the interbank market. and bought 219.85 million dollars.
As reported, in 2022 the National Bank sold $26.38 billion on the interbank market. and 1.789 billion euros, and also bought 3.27 billion dollars. and 110.97 million euros.
On October 3, the National Bank of Ukraine announced the transition to a regime of managed exchange rate flexibility. At the same time, as the head of the NBU Andrey Pyshny explained, the National Bank does not let the exchange rate “free float”; The regulator will continue to monitor the situation on the interbank foreign exchange market.
A fixed rate of 36.5686 UAH per US dollar was in effect in Ukraine from the end of July 2022 to October 3, 2023.
