Such awards recognize military personnel, law enforcement officers and others for their courage and heroism.
A number Ukrainians have the right to a monthly payment for special services to the state. In the event of a person’s death, their loved ones can receive payment for him: parents, children and second spouse.

Who is entitled to payments
The right to a monthly cash payment is:
- citizens who have special merits to the Motherland and were directly involved in the defense of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine:
- who, starting from 2014, were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Order of the Golden Star;
- who, starting from 2014, were awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of three degrees;
- who, starting from 2014, were awarded the Order “For courage” of three degrees;
- which, starting from 2014, was awarded the Order of Princess Olga of three degrees.
Family members of deceased (deceased) citizens are also entitled to payment, who have special services to their Motherland. Among them:
- parents and wife (husband), if they have reached the age that gives them the right to receive an old-age pension, or they are entitled to a pension regardless of age, to an early old-age pension.
- children under 18 -years of age or who turned 18 years old, but became disabled before reaching the age of 18;
- childrenwho are studying full-time education in institutions of general secondary education, as well as in institutions of vocational (vocational), vocational higher or higher education.
Amount of payment for special merits< /strong>
The establishment of a monthly cash payment is provided for:
- persons who were directly involved in the defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and who/starting from 2014:
- awarded the title Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Order of the Golden Star in the amount of three minimum wages established on January 1 of the calendar year (per month);
- awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnitsky of three degrees in the amount of two minimum wages established on January 1 of the calendar year (per month);
- awarded the Order of Courage of three degrees in the amount of the minimum wage established on January 1 of the calendar year (per month).
- awarded the Order of Princess Olga of three degrees in the amount of the minimum wage established on January 1 of the calendar year (per month).
- Members of the families of deceased (deceased) citizens from among the above persons in the amount of the minimum wage established on January 1 of the calendar year.
