Asian countries have begun to approach Ukraine more and more about the opportunities that our country's membership in the European Union creates for their investors.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba in an interview as part of the national telethon “United News”, Ukrinform reports.
“A week has passed since this decision was made, and we see at the Foreign Ministry an increase in the number of requests to us from Asian countries that want to learn more about the opportunities that Ukraine’s membership in the EU creates for their investors in Ukraine,” he said.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that now investors know for sure that Ukraine will be part of the common market, that the same rules regarding courts, the rule of law and the fight against corruption will apply in Ukraine as in Europe, so they are much more interested in investing in Ukraine .
“Literally a week later, we saw and heard these signals and already have practical positive consequences for the future of the Ukrainian economy from a purely political decision to open negotiations,” Kuleba concluded.
In addition, the minister is confident that the negotiations themselves will be difficult. According to his forecast, there will be no problems with the security, political or legal blocs, but negotiations on economic interests will not be easy.
