Will food prices in Ukraine change in the spring and what may become more expensive?
People's Deputy and member of the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy Dmitry Solomchuk said that this spring there is no forecast for a significant increase in prices for basicproducts.
” In my opinion, there will not be a dramatic increase in food prices. Vegetables that were stored in vegetable stores over the winter will begin to become cheaper. In particular, the price of potatoes and onions is decreasing compared to January,” the parliamentarian said.
Also The people's deputy predicts a decrease in prices for eggs, because in the spring-summer period a lot of home-made products appear, farms are already competing with large producers in quality and price.
At the same time, prices for dairy products may rise slightly.
“The price of dairy products may not increase significantly if fuel prices rise. In this case, milk may add a few percent in price due to logistics,” explained Dmitry Solomchuk.
