The 2025 Wimbledon Championships in the women’s singles category have concluded. Poland’s Iga Świątek claimed the title in commanding fashion, dismantling American Amanda Anisimova in the final with a double bagel — 6–0, 6–0. Świątek took home £3 million in prize money, while Anisimova received £1,520,000, reports the Baltimore Chronicle.
Ukraine was represented in the singles main draw of the grass-court major in London by six players: Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska, Yuliia Starodubtseva, Oleksandra Oliinykova, and Daria Snigur. Svitolina and Yastremska achieved the best results among them, both reaching the Round of 32. Each earned £240,000 in prize money.
Yuliia Starodubtseva won one match and exited the tournament in the second round, earning £99,000. Marta Kostyuk lost in the opening round and collected £66,000. Oliinykova and Snigur participated in the qualifiers: Oleksandra reached the quarterfinals of the qualifying draw (£15,500), while Daria advanced to the semifinals (£26,000).
In doubles, five Ukrainian players competed: Lyudmyla and Nadiia Kichenok, Yuliia Starodubtseva, Marta Kostyuk, and Dayana Yastremska. Lyudmyla Kichenok, alongside Australian Ellen Perez, reached the Round of 16 and shared a total prize of £43,750 — £21,875 each.
Nadiia Kichenok and Starodubtseva, along with Yastremska and her partner Bibiane Schoofs, exited the competition in the Round of 64. Each Ukrainian player earned £8,250.
Kostyuk, paired with Romania’s Elena-Gabriela Ruse, lost in the second round to future finalists Hsieh Su-wei and Alona Ostapenko. For her performance in doubles, Kostyuk added £13,000 to her singles earnings.
