According to a monthly survey of banks on mortgage loans, the volume of loans provided to the population in November compared to October increased by 13.7%, and the number by 13.4%. This was reported by the NBU press service.

It is noted that the driver of the mortgage segment remains preferential lending within the framework of the “Eoselya” program.
7 banks, which primarily provided loans for the purchase of housing, reported on the issuance of new mortgages in November on the secondary real estate market.
The weighted average effective rate on mortgage loans in November decreased slightly – to 7.6% compared to 7.8% in October.
Where banks issued the most more mortgage loans
Regionally, the most mortgage loans in November were issued in:
- Kiev and the Kiev region – 441 contracts for a total amount of UAH 771.5 million (52.8 % of the total volume), Lviv region (50 contracts for UAH 90 million), Vinnytsia region (52 contracts for UAH 81.2 million), Rivne region (46 contracts for UAH 69.1 million).
Survey
During the survey in December 2023, 33 banks provided answers with a share of 95, 8% of the total gross mortgage portfolio at the end of 2021.
