Financial restrictions for persons evading mobilization, provided for by the new government bill on strengthening mobilization (No. 10449), will not have a significant impact on the banking sector due to the small number of those affected, says the President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) ) Andrey Dubas. The AUB President justifies his opinion by the fact that the share of those suitable for conscription to the front is relatively insignificant compared to the rest of the population living in Ukraine, especially since it potentially violates the law on mobilization will be only a certain proportion of people from the general conscription in 2024.
He stated that the provisions of the bill on financial restrictions will not have a significant negative impact on the sustainability and stability of the banking sector, as well as on the volume of funds of individuals in bank accounts.
We would like to remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers submitted an updated law on strengthening mobilization, stipulating that the bank accounts of those liable for military service who evade visits to the TCC and SP will be arrested by court decision.
