The Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading bill No. 10265 on a unified roaming system with the European Union. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.

According to him, Ukrainians will be able not to pay an additional fee for communication while traveling for up to four months in Europe , and European travelers in Ukraine.
“Ukraine has fulfilled one of the conditions for European integration in the field of electronic communications. We are becoming one step closer to digital visa-free travel with the EU,” Fedorov noted.
He also thanked the Parliamentary Committee on Digital Transformation and expressed hope that MPs will vote for the bill as a whole.

In the Verkhovna Rada, the bill on a single roaming zone with the EU was registered in November 2023.
The “Ministry of Finance” wrote that in the summer of 2023 the European Commission agreed to extend simplified roaming for another year for Ukraine.
