Ukraine’s women’s national football team has officially secured promotion to League A of the UEFA Nations League, clinching the top spot in their group ahead of the final matchday. The decisive result came after a commanding 4–0 win over Gibraltar in the fifth round of the tournament, reports the Baltimore Chronicle.
The match took place at the Alfonso Murube Stadium in Linares, Spain. Ukraine took control in the first half with goals from Yuliia Shevchuk and Nadiia Khavanska, establishing a solid two-goal lead. In the second half, Olha Boichenko and Lina Yashchenko completed the rout, extending the final score to 4–0.
This victory brought Ukraine to 13 points after five matches, making them unreachable by any other team in the group. In the final match, Ukraine will face North Macedonia, but the result will not affect the group standings.
