From April 1, the minimum wage will be 8 thousand hryvnia – the second stage of increase provided for by the law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2024.” However, there will be more than just an increase in the minimum wage. Chairman of the Tax Committee Daniil Getmantsev wrote about this in his telegram channel.

What payments will increase
- In April, the recalculation of pensions for working pensioners will begin (important: it will be carried out after the State Register of Compulsory State Social Insurance receives information about the payment of the Unified Social Security for the first quarter of 2024; working pensioners who will be recalculated will approximately already receive an increased pension and additional payment differences for April-May).
Those employed in socially useful work (in many war-affected regions this is a serious alternative for those who have lost their jobs compared to unemployment benefits) from April 1, subject to working a full month, will be able to count on payments of up to 12 thousand UAH.
The amount of benefits for partial unemployment will also increase, but to 4 thousand UAH.
From April 1, the amount of compensation payments to employers for the employment of certain categories of citizens will also increase:
– people with disabilities, combatants, those who have no more than 5 years left before becoming eligible for an age pension and citizens who are in the status of registered unemployed for more than 1 month – up to 8 thousand UAH;
– young people from the registered unemployed (under the age of 25 – who have insurance experience of less than 12 months; at the age of up to 35 years – for the first job; dismissed from conscript military/alternative service – for the first job) – up to 4 thousand UAH;
– citizens who have unemployed status for more than 1 month and have additional guarantees of employment, or having the status of unemployed for more than 6 months – up to 3520 UAH;
– internally displaced persons during martial law – up to 8 thousand UAH.
- Compensation of employer expenses for wages of IDPs employed under direction of employment centers, will increase to 16 thousand UAH.
