Ukrainians' spending in Poland last year amounted to 7.1 billion zlotys (1.65 billion euros), which is 1.6 billion zlotys or 31% more than in 2022. This is evidenced by the latest data from the Polish Main Statistical Office of the country, reports bankier.pl.

Expenditures of Ukrainians in Poland
The corresponding indicators are approaching the costs during the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, in 2016-2019, Ukrainians left an average of 7.5 billion zlotys (1.75 billion euros) in Poland. In 2020, as a result of the pandemic, this amount fell to 2.6 billion zlotys, in 2021 – 2.9 billion zlotys.
In 2022, after a full-scale Russian invasion, spending by Ukrainians in Poland jumped to 5.4 billion zlotys In 2023, this amount increased to 7.1 billion zlotys.
According to Polish labor market experts, such expenses of Ukrainians were expected.
“Now in the registers of ZUS (Social Insurance Administration) ed.) 755 thousand citizens of Ukraine. This indicates their active participation in the Polish labor market, which is also reflected in costs,” explains Krzysztof Inglot, founder of the Polish Personnel Service.
