The Office of the Attorney General conducted an audit of criminal proceedings that were brought against businesses. About 19% of them were closed, Deputy Prosecutor General Dmitry Verbitsky said during a meeting with business and the Business Ombudsman Council, writes Forbes.

A total of 6,471 open cases were identified that were initiated against businesses, of which 1,218 (19%) were closed.
The majority of cases were initiated by the National Police – 64% (4109), Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) – 27% (1757), State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) – 5% (344) and Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) – 4% (261). .
During January-February, 163 arrests were canceled. The DBI has the most – almost 55% or 88 arrests. In second place is the National Police – 28% (45 arrests), in third place is the SBU – 10% (17), in fourth place is the BEB – 8% (13).
