Toyota has introduced its cheapest electric car to the Chinese market. During the first period, more than 10 thousand buyers have pre-registered the electric crossover bZ3X. This is reported by Carscoops.

Prices for the electric crossover start at 109,800 yuan ($15,000), so it's no surprise that more than 10,000 pre-orders were placed in just an hour.
The new product is produced by Toyota through the joint venture GAC Toyota.
The bZ3X design was first previewed in April 2023 as the bZ FlexSpace Concept. A pre-production version was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show last April.
The electric crossover is slightly larger than the BYD Atto 3 and is available with three different battery packs. The entry-level and mid-range models have a 204 hp engine, while the flagship has 224 hp.
The base version of the car is equipped with a 50.03 kWh LFP battery, which provides a range of up to 430 km on the CTLC cycle. The version with the longest range has a capacity of 67.92 kWh and is capable of traveling 610 km on a single charge.
The electric crossover measures 4,600 mm long, 1,875 mm wide and 1,645 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm, which means it is about the same size as the RAV 4. It weighs 1,835 kg, which is fairly typical for this type of electric vehicle.
The new model received a 14.6-inch multimedia display system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel and a Yamaha audio system with 11 speakers. All this is included in the basic package.
The more expensive versions come with an advanced driver assistance system powered by Nvidia and cost $20,700 and $22,000.
