Last year, 11.4 million passenger cars were produced in the EU, down 6% from 2023.

The largest number of passenger cars were exported to:
- Great Britain – almost 1.253 million units for 33.3 billion euros. USA – 749.2 thousand units for 38.5 billion euros. Turkey – 579.8 thousand units for 11.9 billion euros.
Import
At the same time, imports of passenger cars cost the European Union 73.2 billion euros.
For this amount, 3.4 million cars were imported into the EU (-5%).
The largest countries supplying passenger cars to the EU are:
- China – 748.5 thousand units (12.6 billion euros). Türkiye – 542.1 thousand units (9 billion euros). Japan – 498.4 thousand units (11.7 billion euros).
