What is known
According to the Ubisoft website, Tencent will receive 25% of the new venture for its investment, which is valued by the parties at approximately 4 billion euros.
This amount exceeds the current market capitalization of Ubisoft Entertainment itself, which is approximately €1.69 billion.
The significant investment will allow the new company to focus on, among other things, improving the quality of single-player games, expanding multiplayer offerings, and increasing the frequency of new game content releases, Ubisoft said in a statement.
The transaction is expected to close in late 2025.
