According to the Georgian government's decree, Ukrainian citizens who entered Georgia without a visa have had their right to stay in the country reduced from 3 years to 1 year, Mtavari reports.

According to the resolution, the right of stay for Ukrainian citizens who entered and stayed in Georgia before February 24, 2025 must be extended until February 24, 2026.
“Citizens of Ukraine have the right to visa-free entry into Georgia and stay in the country for a full year. Citizens of Ukraine who entered and stayed in Georgia before February 24, 2025, should have their right of stay extended until February 24, 2026,” the document says.
The corresponding change was made to Government Resolution No. 255 of June 5, 2015 “On approval of the list of countries whose citizens can enter Georgia without a visa.”
