In the center of Chernigov at about 4 am on May 6, a bank branch was blown up. This was reported by the press service of the National Police. From the photographs it is clear that this is the Pivdenny bank.

Part of the bank premises was completely destroyed. Three cars were also damaged. There were no casualties. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the explosion, having previously provided a classification of deliberate destruction or damage to property through an explosion.
This branch was key for the bank in Chernigov – the only one in the city that worked even during a power outage.
