The official opening of the plant took place on April 18 with the participation of the Vice-Chancellor – Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Affairs of Germany Robert Habeck and the Minister of Strategic Industry of Ukraine Alexander Kamyshin.

The new plant will become the second enterprise of the company in Ukraine, it is expected that by the end of 2024 It will employ about 100 people. The new production facility will be able to produce up to 1,000 reconnaissance drones per year, as well as spare parts for them.

Investments

Quantum Systems plans to invest up to 6 million euros in the new production over the next two years .

The German manufacturer already has a service, support, training and logistics center in Ukraine. It has 25 employees who train drone operators and implement technological advances in intelligence systems.

Quantum-Systems

Quantum-Systems is an international company founded in 2015 and headquartered near Munich. The company has offices in the USA, Australia, Ukraine and specializes in the development, design and production of small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS).

Quantum Systems Vector reconnaissance drones have been in operation in Ukraine since May 2022. Currently, 212 systems have been made available through the German Enablement Initiative. By the end of the year, it is planned to transfer another 500 Quantum Systems reconnaissance drones to Ukraine.

Quantum Systems currently has about 250 employees, producing drones for the civilian and government sectors. Production in Ukraine will become the company’s fourth plant.
