Now we We are testing OneWeb technology with some defense forces. We will be the official representative of the company in Ukraine. We will also be able to offer these services to businesses,” said Vecher.

He noted that OneWeb has its own satellite network and can provide high-speed satellite Internet, particularly in non-standard conditions.

“We understand and have requests… from the special sphere of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the fact that Starlink does not, does not always perform the tasks assigned to it by business or defense. This is the provision of communications in critical conditions,” said the B2B director of Kyivstar.

Earlier, the general director of Ukrposhta said that during massive shelling and power outages in Kharkov, which arose as a result of the destruction of critical infrastructure, Ukrposhta had problems with the operation of Starlink. According to him, it turned out that Starlink does not operate in the area of electronic warfare activity.

In March, Reuters reported that the parent company of Kyivstar, the telecommunications holding Veon, entered into an agreement with the British company OneWeb to integrate the company’s satellite services with its ground network.

It was reported that OneWeb has about 550 low-orbit satellites and plans to launch dozens more with the help of SpaceX.
