In October and November last year, banks brought more than $2 billion in foreign cash to Ukraine. Such large volumes even exceed the annual figures in 2016 and 2018. This is evidenced by NBU data.

In general for 2023 Over the course of the year, more than $8 billion worth of foreign currency was imported. The final figure will be known after the NBU calculates the data for the last month. But even now this amount is a record for the last 9 years. More was imported in 2014 – more than $12 billion.
The leader in the import of currency into Ukraine in October-November was the dollar . This is what the entire list looks like:
- US dollar – 1,592,400 Euro – 480,319 Pound sterling – 2,209 Polish zloty – 490
Amounts are indicated in thousands of US dollars equivalent.
Gold worth $13,763 thousand was also imported into Ukraine during this period.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, in addition to these currencies, Swiss francs and Canadian dollars were also imported into Ukraine, but the amounts were insignificant compared to other currencies.
It should also be added that in October-November the number of imports of British pounds increased significantly.
