Having been under Canadian sanctions since May 27, 2022, Aiziman no longer meets the criteria for imposing restrictions, the report says.

According to Politico, Canadian sanctions were also lifted from former deputy chairmen of the board of Sberbank Alexandra Buriko and Sergei Maltsev and Member of the Board of Directors of Gazprom Alexander Dushka. All three were sanctioned by Canada along with Iziman.

Last year Izyman was removed from the EU sanctions list. On October 25, the European Union Court decided that all restrictions imposed against Friedman’s ex-wife should be lifted, since Olga Aiziman’s connection with her ex-husband had not been established at the time of the introduction of sanctions.

At the same time, she continues to be under sanctions from Ukraine, Switzerland and the UK.
