The Board of Taskombank decided to stop the development and further work of the sportbank project. This was reported by the bank's press service.

“From April 17, attracting new clients and issuing new products through the sportbank application has been suspended. From May 12, 2024, the sportbank application will be unavailable for further use,” the message says.
Reasons for closing the project
The main reason was significant changes in the external environment, which “require adjustments to the bank’s business model and its strategy as a whole.”
Currently, Taskombank will focus on the development of its own projects.
In the bank clarified that the sportbank project operates on the basis of a Taskombank license. So, all sportbank clients are Taskombank clients and the bank will continue to serve them.
Taskombank invites sportbank users to take advantage of the transition program to the terms of further service or choose other bank products by reading the terms on the bank’s website or visiting any bank branch.
“From April 17, 2024, your products will be available in the TAS2U application” , says the message.

In January, DBR detectives came to the sportbank office in search of evidence of sportbank’s cooperation with Russian businesses and betting companies Parimatch, Buddy.bet and PariWin, who were evading taxes.
