As of May 1, 2024, the balance of funds in the special account that the National Bank opened to support the defense forces on February 24, 2022 is more than UAH 738 million. Over the past month, more than UAH 303 million was transferred to the special account. This is stated in the regulator's message.

In total, since the beginning of the war, more than 36 billion UAH in equivalent have been transferred to the special account.
Who transfers funds
Funds were transferred both by citizens and enterprises of Ukraine, and by the international community (including from the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, France, Canada, Bulgaria, Hong Kong and many other countries of the world).
More than 15 were received from abroad in foreign currency (US dollars, euros, pounds, Canadian dollars, Chinese renminbi, yen, Swiss francs, zlotys, Australian dollars), 9 billion UAH equivalent.
In total, since the beginning of the war, the National Bank has transferred more than 35.5 billion UAH to the special account for defense needs, in April 2024 – more than 1 billion UAH.
