“Returning to the challenges, next year, most likely, the difference between the necessary and available international financing will be $10-15 billion, which will not be enough,” said he is at the congress “Public Finance Reform – the Path to the Restoration of Ukraine” in Kiev.

Zheleznyak noted the importance of business support in connection with the prospect of a shortfall in macro-financial assistance in the budget.

“… I remembered this not to make up for some kind of fear, but so that we all have a clear understanding that supporting business this year is a condition for the survival of next year,” the people’s deputy noted.

“And, unfortunately, seeing the budget figures, I understand that we are already short of 300-400 billion without additional mobilization. This is also a fact,” Zheleznyak emphasized.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the state budget for 2024 with a deficit of 1.57 trillion. UAH, or 20.6% of projected GDP. State budget revenues for 2024 are set at UAH 1.77 trillion (excluding possible grant assistance), expenses at UAH 3.36 trillion, with an average annual rate of 40.7 UAH/$1.
