In Ukraine, in the first two months of 2024, an increase in trade volumes was recorded. This is a consequence of the introduction of the mandatory use of PPO (settlement transaction registrar) and fines for their non-use. This was announced by the head of the Council’s financial committee, Daniil Getmantsev.

If you compare with the same period in 2023, then trade volumes increased as follows:
- settlement transactions (in hryvnia) – plus 38.2% total number of checks – plus 37.3% VAT charge – plus 42.8%.
“However, the work continues, and a significant part of trade still remains in the shadows,” Getmantsev noted.
We would like to remind you that in 2023, the Tax Service imposed UAH 1.65 billion in fines for violations when working with settlement transaction registrars (SRO), which is three times higher than the same figure for 2021.
