According to geolocation data on December 31, the Russian army was moving northwest of Stepnoye. Meanwhile, information sources claim that on January 1 and 2, Putin’s army managed to advance in the area of Berdychi and Ocheretino.
War correspondent Konstantin Mashovets noted that the enemy army abandoned the initial task of capturing Berdychi. Russian and Ukrainian sources report positional battles in the areas of Berdychi, Novobakhmutovka, the coke plant, as well as in the areas of Stepnoye, Pervomaiskoye, Nevelskoye and the Avdeevka industrial zone.
Earlier, Mashovets noted that Stepnoye had become a «gray zone& #187; at the front, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces clash with units of the 15th, 21st and 114th motorized brigades. In the northeast of Avdiivka, enemy forces from the 239th Tank Regiment are confronting.
The occupation forces also continue fighting in the southwest of Donetsk. Geolocation data from December 14, 2023 and January 1, 2024 show a slight advance of the Russian Armed Forces on the outskirts of Novomikhailovka. Positional battles continue in the areas of Marinka, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka and Paraskoveevka.
