Ukrainians who live in multi-storey buildings will receive payments for the maintenance of the gas network at home starting from the new year. It is reported that the payment amount will average about 25-65 UAH per month, depending on the house and the number of gas equipment.
The service will be provided by the gas distribution network operator – regional gas companies. They had until January 5, 2024 to calculate the cost of maintaining gas networks inside the house – the pipe from the point of entry into the house.
As experts say, for several years now gas tariffs have not included such a component as “maintenance of intra-house networks” ” No one checks the system for density, inspects the pipes, or goes to apartments asking to see their gas appliances.
The payment includes inspection of the gas pipeline, checking for density, pressure testing, inspection of gas equipment, service of shut-off devices . All this guarantees the safe use of gas.
