In the Chernigov region, border guards discovered a large object that was floating along the Desna River from Russia.
The State Border Service noted that border guards in the Chernihiv region monitored the suspicious structure until it stopped off the coast on Ukrainian territory.
Later, Ukrainian border guards discovered that it was a pontoon bridge that drifted along the river from Russia.
“As it turned out, this is a pontoon bridge that recently served as a crossing for the Russians. Now sappers have established that the discovered metal structure does not pose a threat,” the message says.
It is reported that after studying the condition of the bridge, a decision will be made on its future fate.
