Chairman of the Kherson OVA, Alexander Prokudin, said that the possibility of announcing a forced evacuation of families with children from the city of Kherson is being considered. The official emphasized that today it is extremely dangerous for children to be in Kherson due to constant shelling from the enemy.
«Kherson is located in an area where evacuation is mandatory, but the city is not included in the list of settlements where it is carried out forcibly. At the same time, at every regional Defense Council we hear from the SBU, counterintelligence, and the military on this matter. If the situation becomes very tense, we will announce a forced evacuation», — he said.
The head of the OVA emphasized that we should not lead to a situation where, in order to save the lives of families with children, our military and police will have to take evacuation measures to the limit of their strength and capabilities.
Prokudin also noted that all those who are evacuated to other regions of Ukraine receive either three hot meals a day, or humanitarian aid in the form of food, as well as standard payments. In addition, the authorities are constantly monitoring the situation with evacuees and know in what conditions they live in other, safer regions.
