Budanov announced this information in an interview with the Financial Times, reports URA-Inform.
According to him, information that «Wagner» was dissolved should be viewed with doubt, since factual verification of this information cannot be carried out.
«Wagner exists», — Budanov emphasized, rejecting the possibility of dissolving this PMC.
He also expressed doubts about reports of Prigozhin’s death, noting that his body was never presented publicly.
Regarding plane crash in August 2023, in which Prigozhin presumably died, Budanov stressed that one should not draw hasty conclusions. He stated that there was no evidence of Prigozhin’s death and called for caution in assessments.
«As for Prigozhin, I would not make hasty conclusions. I'm not saying he didn't die or that he's dead. I say there is no evidence that he is dead», — concluded the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region.
